Youth Girls Basketball
The Triangle area is no stranger to great basketball teams over the years.  But when you think about those teams, are you including the Forest Hills Baptist Girls?  In a winning tradition dating back to the mid-90's, our girls have participated in a league with other area churches.
This past Sunday, fourteen girls proudly represented Forest Hills in the League finals against First Baptist Cary.  After four tough quarters, we emerged victorious and not only brought home the Tournament Championship but the Regular Season Championship as well.  Thank you our loyal fans...the tradition continues!

College Ministry Celebration Lunch
On Sunday, March 17, college students and their families are invited to a College Ministry Celebration Lunch. Please help us by providing desserts for the occasion. Cakes, cookies, brownies are all favorites, and homemade goodies are especially appreciated. Desserts in disposable containers may be brought to the dining hall anytime that morning, before 10:45A.

International Ministry
Home Visits In International Ministry, relationships are everything. Do you have any idea how unusual it is for a foreign person living in this country to see the inside of an American's home?  Many are here for 4-8 years before they receive an invitation, if one even comes.  We are trying to have a Home Visit two to three times this year.  In Saturday's downpour, many of our students, without cars, ventured out for this little open house party.  We are grateful.  All had great food, a fine time and a comfortable American home where each felt welcomed.  We got to sing God Is So Good in Farsi, Chinese, Italian and English.  Can't beat it!   -Glenda Reece

Evening with Friends
Want to enjoy a sit down dinner served by your Forest Hills youth and a silent auction?  Then you need to plan to attend the 2013 Evening With Friends event on March 23 at 6:00 pm.  Evening With Friends is an annual fund raising event for Youth Missions.  This year the youth group will be traveling to New York City, and the proceeds from Evening With Friends will help defray some of the costs of the trip.  You can participate and support your FHBC Youth by making plans to attend this year's event and by donating items for the silent auction.  Tickets for the event cost $17.50 and will be on sale in the five points area on Sundays and Wednesdays between now and March 20.

Donations for the silent auction are being collected now.  Donations can include custom crafts, vacation homes, dinners, personal services (babysitting, yard work, handyman work, etc.), art work, photography, tickets to sporting events, business services or gift certificates.  Please drop your donation off at the church office by March 20.  Please contact Derek Graham (derekgraham99@earthlink.net or 919.469.8139) or Paul Smith (psmith@wkdickson.com or 919.880.5886) if you have any questions.  On behalf of the Youth group, Thank you for your generous support of Youth Missions.

Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network
It's time again for us to show our hospitality to the families being served through Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network, an organization of area churches pulling together to support homeless families that are determined to be self-reliant again.  We will partner with West Raleigh Presbyterian Church during the week of March 17 - March 24.  Meals, van drivers and overnight hosts are needed, as well as abled bodies to help with bed set up and breakdown.  Begin to talk with your Sunday School class about this. Perhaps God is calling you to this ministry opportunity.  Perhaps He's calling your class to serve in this way.  Our help is needed Sunday, March 17;  Monday, March 18: Wednesday, March 20; Saturday, March 23; and Sunday, March 24.  Contact George Allen if you have questions or are wanting to reserve your spot!
