Baptist Children's Home Annual Food/Supply Roundup

Baptist Children's Homes (BCH) serve 700,000 meals and snacks every year.  Providing for the needs of boys and girls is no small task!  BCH experienced extensive damage during the March storms and lost power for several days.  All of the perishable and frozen food was lost.  Let's help restock the pantries for the children.

Items needed:  Canned fruit, fruit juices, cereal, paper products, laundry detergent, deodorant, cleaning supplies, shampoo & conditioner, spaghetti sauce & pasta, Hamburger Helper, baked beans, Mac and Cheese, crackers, jams/jellies

Please bring these items to the designated area in The Gathering Place during the month of April.

International Ministry

Tom and Vickie Hollowell recently shared the gift of hospitality by hosting four international students from Nagoya University in Japan who were visiting NC State. They were all graduate students here for a series of seminars, lectures and corporate visits regarding entrepreneurship for scientists. They represented Japan, Egypt and Cambodia. A Thanksgiving themed meal was prepared with pumpkin pie being a new found favorite.

Sharing hospitality and welcome to someone who has been separated from their homeland - for a week, 6 months, years, or displaced permanently - is a priceless expression of Christian love. Thank you for welcoming!

Please PRAY for the upcoming Beach Retreat, May 16-18. More than 90 Internationals and dedicated helpers from Forest Hills will spend a weekend building Christian friendships, enjoying the land the Creator has made for us, and learning about the precious thoughts of God that outnumber grains of sand.
Your prayers are coveted!
