A Note From Don Hayden, Facilities Director
In an effort to better plan and provide kitchen related resources for our church's activities involving calendar requests and requests for ordering inventory for the kitchen we are implementing two new requests forms church-wide.
Anyone who would like to make calendar request is asked to fill out a blue Calendar Request Form and submit it to me. These forms are available in the Church Office. Please allow three days to process a calendar request.
Kitchen Inventory Requests
All ministry leaders who need for me to order items for the kitchen or special events are asked to complete a Kitchen Inventory Request Form. These pink forms are available in the Church Office. Please allow four days for delivery.
Be sure to complete all of the information on these forms when making your requests.
Thanks for your cooperation with this new process.

Children's Music Celebration -- Wednesday, June 4th
At Forest Hills, folks from Afghanistan, Armenia, Burma, Congo, China, Ethiopia, Honduras, Iran, Libya, Mexico, and South Korea are among those who walk through the doors of the International Ministry, make friends, and learn about Jesus. Some stay, and many go, taking what they have learned back to their home country.
Last Saturday, a celebration for Mr. Hailong Ning, his wife Wenxia Li, and son Bill was held in Cary. This pot-luck had authentic food from all regions of China, even the frigid north-east city of Harbin, where the Ning family will return May 11th - exactly one year since they arrived to NCSU as visiting scholars. I specifically remember meeting Hailong in Carmichael Gymnasium last year, and inviting him to the International Ministry at Forest Hills.
Only God knew that Hailong and Wenxia would become part of the International Ministry, connect with the Chinese Church, would meet and accept Jesus Christ, and follow in Baptism on January 26th. Time flew but God was at work.
"But where will they continue their discipleship and growth in the Lord upon their return? God, your provision is needed!" This was my prayer, as I drove to north Cary.
At the party Hailong pulled me aside, and holding back tears that welled in his eyes, he offered deep gratitude for kindness, hospitality, and the example of Christ he had witnessed. Now, walking with Jesus, he was so joyous to share that even his son Bill liked to be at church. We both praised God Almighty for His work in their lives over the last year... and then, God provided another answered prayer.
A few minutes earlier, Pastor Li had given Hailong information about a sister church in the very city of Harbin, where other University teachers study the Bible and grow in faith. The Nings now have a new "home church" when they return May 11th! Praise God!
Please offer farewell or "see you later" to Hailong, Wenxia, and Bill this Sunday. And Lord, may Your protection be placed around their new church in China, and guide and grow the Ning family as they carry their testimony of Christ to China.
The International Ministry is growing, and your help is needed to keep up with God's work! Did you know forcibly displaced people come to Raleigh each week? See Jason to learn more.
