Each year, DeepImpact collects a Mission Offering. Over the summer, as Deep Impact participants our youth will have the opportunity to provide hunger relief to children all over the world through funding
· Cape Town - Barcelona Orphanage - money will be sent to provide protein to children's daily diets
· Cuba - Retirement Home Farm - money will be sent to purchase fruit trees, such as papaya, banana, plantain, guava and mango for ongoing food needs to those living at the retirement home and for children, youth and their families in the surrounding community.
· India - HIV and Compassion Children's Home - money will be sent to provide food for 30 children who are HIV+ for up to 1 year.
· NC - Money will be sent to food agencies that provide fresh fruit and vegetables to those that provide food to children and youth.
Each Sunday, the youth will be in Gathering Place between Sunday School and Worship to collect monies for the Deep Impact Mission Offering. Checks can be made out to FHBC with Deep Impact Mission Offering in the memo.

Welcome & Registration Team Forming
2-4 People Needed
Did you ever want to experience international missions but were uncertain if you had the time or talent? Let me assure you, you are talented and your gifted-ness is needed!
Welcome the world on the 3rd floor every Sunday morning! The International Ministry is seeking to establish a team of 2-4 people who can rotate to help with welcome and registration each Sunday morning.
Weekly, we have new folks from far off lands joining our Sunday ESL / Bible classes. On their first visit, a registration form is completed on arrival. For most, this is their first experience with "church" - so a smiling face and warm, hospitable welcome goes a long way to open the doors of the church and heart.
YOU are needed to help welcome and set-up the International Ministry welcome center from 9:00-9:30am on Sundays. Contact Barbara Martin , Glenda Reece, or Jason Payne to explore this ministry opportunity.
World Refugee Day Festival
Save the Date! Friday, June 20th
World Refugee Day is June 20, next Friday! This year, an event honoring the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence, will be held on the 100 block of Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh from 11 AM-5 PM.
This is a wonderful way to learn more about refugee resettlement, and the plight of displaced persons. Forest Hills has helped several refugee families with their resettlement and adjustment to the U.S.A, and you can be involved in the next team to walk beside a refugee family that has been displaced from their homeland.
Refugee Highway Partnership North America - North American Round Table
Interested? Going to this conference would be an opportunity continue to develop a ministry for displaced persons (refugees, asylees, victims of trafficking) in the Forest Hills community. Click here for a video with more information.
