Step-By-Step Disciple Making
On Saturday, February 20, over 50 people attended Step-by-Step Disciple-Making led by Brian Upshaw of the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. Brian taught that a disciple is one who is a follower of Christ, is being transformed by Christ and is on mission for Christ (Jesus said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men," Matthew 4:19). He also taught one way all believers can disciple others intentionally and relationally is through a process using triads. Disciple-making triads are groups of 3 people who meet together for the purpose of discipleship with the goals of spiritual growth, authentic relationships, and multiplication. Many of the people attending were truly motivated to begin discipling others. Would you like to be part of a discipleship triad? Are you interested in other types of discipleship? If so, contact Paul Taulman at firstname.lastname@example.org or any other member of the Discipleship Team.

Guest Relations Team
Got 45 minutes a month? With our new Guest Relations team, that's all you'll need to give each month to help greet visitors and make them feel welcome at Forest Hills! All ages are invited to sign up, and we hope to have rotating teams up and going by Easter Sunday! Here's all you have to do on your Sunday to greet: come in before worship, pray, and offer a cheerful greeting to those entering worship. Then, right before worship ends, take your position and hand out visitor bags to guests as they depart. And right before you leave, grab guest's information and write them a little follow-up note. See, how simple is that?! To register online, visit http://foresthills.org/visitorteam. For more information, contact Tyler Ward.
Piano Ministry Volunteers
Our Piano Lessons ministry is in need of volunteers! If you know how to read music and play the piano, this is a great opportunity to serve our community. Please contact Nannette Godwin for more information.

Thank God For Answering Prayer
From a recent Facebook post on February 9, 2016 that was in reference to the Ministry to Internationals Wednesday English and Culture Class reminder: "It is unbelievable that this is still going at Forest Hills. I had attended this class (a white house at the time) in 1985 to learn English at Forest Hills when I was in Elementary school! On every Wednesday afternoon, I used to pray that my parents would take me to English class..."
Dr. Do-Yeon Cho is now a Medical Doctor and Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, previously a Resident Physician at Stanford. He loves the Lord, and we praise God for answering his prayers as a little boy in Raleigh. God is at work, will you join Him?
Due to lack of demand we will no longer be offering Lighter Options for Wednesday night dinners; however, if you have a dietary request please submit your request online 1 week prior.
Quarterly Church Conferences
Please take note that the upcoming Church Conference dates have changed. The 5/15 meeting was changed to 5/22, the 8/21 meeting was changed to 8/28, and the 11/20 meeting was changed to 11/13. We would love for all our members to attend!
The Season Of EASTER
Journey To The Cross - Meditations On The Meaning Of Lent
From Ash Wednesday until Easter, Christians around the world celebrate the season of Lent. It's a season of preparation and sacrifice, as we meditate and reflect on Christ's final days and the ultimate sacrifice He made for all of us on the cross. This year, our Lenten theme is "Journey to the Cross: Meditations on the Meaning of Lent." In both traditional and contemporary worship services, we'll be invited to journey inward as we reflect on these themes of sacrifice and preparation and live life alongside Christ as He prepares Himself and His disciples for what's to come. What does Lent mean to you? Come journey with us as we discover and live out these themes together.
Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates the triumphant arrival of Christ in Jerusalem, days before He was crucified. Palm Sunday is known as such because Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a young donkey, and to the lavish praise of the townspeople who threw clothes, or possibly palms or small branches, in front of Him as a sign of homage. Join us as for worship as we begin our reflection on the final week of Jesus' life. Join us on March 20th at 11:00am.
Forest Hills will have a Good Friday Service on March 35th, beginning at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. This service will focus on the Seven Last Words of Christ. Following the service there will be a presentation by the Art Ministry of The Stations of The Cross, which depict Jesus on the day of His crucifixion. All are invited as we reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made for each of us on the cross.
In just a few short weeks, winter will give way to spring and we'll be fast approaching Easter Sunday on March 27th. More than any other date in human history, Easter defines who we are and announces to the world in one triumphant voice that Christ is risen! Because of Jesus' victory over the grave, death is defeated and heaven's gates are open wide for all those who believe in Him. As always, this is one of the most meaningful days of worship and celebration in the Christian calendar and we hope you and your family make plans to join us for either of our worship services on that day. This is also a great day to invite friends, neighbors, and others who don't normally attend worship to join us as we celebrate this joyous occasion. How wonderful it could be to share the news of Christ's resurrection with others who don't know Him, especially on Easter Sunday!
