Alex was born in El Salvador and raised in NYC. He married Diana Carolina and they have three daughters. He studied ministry and music at the CanZion Institue and also has a Duke Divinity Hermeneutics Certificate. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Theology at Asbury Theological Seminary.
