Claire Shelnutt

Claire has been called to serve Forest Hills Baptist as an interim Minister to Children for the 2024-25 academic year. She is an Athens, GA native and attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree in Art History (go dawgs!). Claire has loved the Lord since she was very young. She was ordained to Gospel Ministry in January and graduated in May with an MDiv from Duke Divinity School, where she most enjoyed her research about intergenerational faith formation, historical Christianity, and practical Biblical interpretation. She continues to serve as the Minister to Youth at Emmaus Way, an interdenominational congregation in Durham, and understands ministry to young people and their families as central to her calling. She is grateful to be here and looks forward to seeing how the Spirit will move!
