Laura Churchill Pemberton is a Raleigh native. She studied Commercial Art at Chowan College, Secretarial Sciences and Early Childhood Development at Wake Technical Community College, while spending her summers working at Caswell Baptist Assembly and as a Nanny. She did her student teaching at St. James Preschool in Raleigh. In her career, she served as a Lead Teacher at Temple Baptist School for 12.5 years, A New Generation Learning Center for 2.5 years, and at Connections Preschool for 12 years. Laura loves gardening, art, sewing, and animals. She has been happily married for 29 years and is also the owner and operator of Treehouse Drapery and Design.
